Relationships require work and dedication to thrive and be healthy. However, there are dynamics in certain relationships that make them destructive and toxic to one or even both partners. The way your partner relates to you psychologically and emotionally can have a large bearing on your self esteem and feelings of self worth. Here are 6 signs that your relationship may have an emotionally or psychologically abusive dynamic and may be toxic for this reason:
1. Your partner puts you down, either in public or privately. These insults may be blatant name calling, but not always. Sometimes, it is more subtle, for example your partner may criticize the way you do things, who you are, or even question your mental competence. All the while, your partner may imply that he or she has it all together and knows the best ways to do the things you are failing at. Ultimately, you may end up feeling incompetent, inferior, and even crazy.
2. Your partner attempts to limit your access to work or educational opportunities. This strategy helps maintain your partner’s control over you and keep you dependent.
3. Your partner attempts to discourage or limit your contact with outside friends and family. Isolating you in this way serves a couple of different purposes. Firstly, it establishes your partner’s dominance and control. It also limits your ability to receive positive, affirming messages from your loved ones. Your abuser is trying to create a reality about you and for you. Having contrary information coming in is undesirable in the abuser’s eyes. In addition, limiting your contact with others also reduces your opportunities to hear criticisms of your partner.
4. Your partner attempt to control and influence your daily activities. You may feel compelled to give an account of your daily activities and defend or justify your choices. You may even get to a point where in order to avoid confrontation, you choose activities you know your partner will approve of.
5. Your partner uses sex as a weapon of manipulation and control. This may also manifest in the opposite manner, where your partner deliberately withholds the physical affection and intimacy you desire, in order to keep you feeling rejected, worthless, and subject to his or her whim.

Once in awhile, your partner may do something kind for you, but this is not a true effort to change a pattern of behavior, but a tactic to draw you back into the relationship. Once you are back under your abuser’s control, the emotional and psychological abuse will begin again.

By the early part of the twentieth century, the film star was born, although the voices of these celebrities continued to be a mystery, as sound in films had not yet been created. Although Thomas Edison discovered how to add dialogue to films in 1910, it was nearly two decades later before film companies took that technology and created the first “talkies” — one of the most important historical moments in the movie industry.
In the middle of that century, sound was taken to a whole new level when the musical extravaganzas became the rage. Stars like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers lit up the screen with their fancy footwork, and grand song and dance numbers became standard in popular films.
Today, the sky appears to be the limit in terms of technological finesse and riveting story lines. Movie ratings established in the 60’s and 70’s help audiences understand who the film is created for, and reviews on the Internet can also help movie goers find appropriate flicks. We, the undersigned, leaders of major Jewish groups and organizations, hereby sorrowfully acknowledge our lack of leadership in pursuit of justice for slain Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
We deeply regret standing idly by the blood of our brother Yitzhak Rabin, especially after the initial shock of his assassination wore off and gaping holes were exposed in the corrupt conclusions of the Shamgar Commission that we refused to believe. However, we are now convinced the Shamgar Commission represents nothing more than the official Israeli government cover-up of the Yitzhak Rabin assassination, orchestrated by the Israeli oligarchy outed by Forbes Israel, who were just following their Euro-Nazi orders, specifically Shimon Peres, as part of their plan to sell out Israel to foreign interests.
We grieve that Mrs. Leah Rabin did not live to hear and witness us echo her call to REOPEN THE RABIN FILE. Her plea fell on deaf ears. We will make sure that our demands cannot be ignored or neglected. We sincerely apologize to the family of Yitzhak Rabin and to the nation of Israel, the Jewish homeland, but trust we can go forward with zeal and determination to right these wrongs, reassured by the words of the Prophet Isaiah:

The Vatican’s illegitimate claims to Mt. Some might contend that there isn’t sufficient proof that King David (my forefather) is actually buried on Mt. Zion. However, it is a Jewish belief, it is the Jewish homeland, and it isn’t necessary for Jews to prove anything to the world, as it is honestly none of their business.
If Israel were wise, they would immediately cut off all negotiations, unequivocally state Jerusalem is not for sale, and threaten any Jew who persists in such an error and grievous sin with expulsion from the Jewish community. It’s that serious! Israeli sovereignty is at stake!
Rabbi Avraham Goldstein is leader of the Diaspora Yeshiva (Yeshiva Toras Yisrael) that has been blessed since 1966 to utilize David’s Tomb and the building complex on Mt. Zion for religious classes and services. Goldstein is also Chief Rabbi of the Old City of Jerusalem, and in agreement with all 14 rabbis in the Old City, is convinced that the Vatican’s true intent is to ultimately evict the yeshiva and completely empty the complex of Jews.

Why exalt the Roman Catholic Church to such a lofty position? Why fall for the attempt to trump King David at the site or supercede him by towering over his tomb, a Catholic Church over and above his dead body!
As Barry Chamish has duly noted, the German-built Dormition Abbey on Mt. Zion (next to the yeshiva) is an exact replica of the German Church that crowned emperors: Charlemagne’s Aachen Cathedral. Can’t we see what spirit is at work here and what plans are in store? UN Resolution 181 demands Jerusalem become a separate, international city that will amount to a long-held Catholic dream of Jerusalem serving as the capital of their Crusader-Kingdom.
The German-Jesuit powers that be are busy reconstructing Europe into the final revival of the unholy Roman Empire of the German Nation that Daniel foresaw wreaking havoc on the Middle East and Jeremiah foresaw affecting the whole world (all of Jacob, the unprecedented Time of Jacob’s Trouble).
What offer could convince the religious authorities to Adobe Digital Scrapbooking claims to Mt. Zion? Would a trade-off work? Not of empty synagogues in Spain, but how about international guarantees of protection during the construction of the Third Temple on the Temple Mount? What if Israel were offered acceptance of full Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount, complete with the restoration of the sacrificial system and Temple worship?
Wouldn’t the religious prefer such freedom of religion over secular Israeli sovereignty that continues to despise the Jewish heritage and dismantle the Jewish homeland? Not that Israel couldn’t immediately restore the Temple Mount to Jewish hands without worldly approval or international “peacekeeping” support, and that would be preferable but it’s unlikely.
Will the Israeli authorities fall for Europe’s BIG LIE of “peace and security” (and religious freedom and independence upon the Temple Mount) and enable them to station troops around Jerusalem in a clever and deceitful perversion of Bamidbar Rabbah 1,3:
If the nations of the world had only known how much they needed the Temple, they would have surrounded it with armed fortresses to protect it.
Doesn’t Zechariah warn of such Roman wolves in sheep’s clothing? Must Jerusalem suffer a brutal betrayal and rape, with the violent eviction of Jews from half of the Holy City, all of it under brazen Gentile occupation? Doesn’t Daniel warn of Europe’s imminent wannabe divine emperor (promoted by the pagan pope) who would leave his designated place at Mt. Zion and seize and pollute the Temple with his unclean presence, slaughtering all who got in his way?
“Why will you die O House of Israel?” If only Israel and Judah would return and trust in God, none of this reliance on foreign promises (that will prove to be worthless, once again) would be necessary. At least during Jerusalem’s 3 1/2 years of foreign occupation, captive Israel will be reassured by a Davidic messenger in the spirit of Elijah, like an angel of the LORD (Zech. 12:8), that our God will come and save us and cleanse the Temple and liberate Jerusalem.
